Your guide to Higher Education funding
University Grants
The Education Department supports students choosing to study at university through a means-tested grant scheme. The amount of funding received is dependent on a number of factors, including an assessment of parental income.
The Department helps students towards the cost of tuition fees, their living costs in the form of a maintenance grant and travel costs.
More than £6 million is spent per year supporting around 800 students studying full-time and higher education courses outside of the Bailiwick.
The Department produces a number of leaflets which provide advice and guidance on applying for a grant, who is eligible and current fees and allowances for different courses. These are available to download below.
