Education Board statement

'The Education Board, under the chairmanship of Deputy David de Lisle, had a very constructive first meeting today to discuss its initial response to the recommendations within the Mulkerrin Review of Education. The meeting was attended by the new Chief Officer designate and senior officers of the Department.

The members present (Deputies de Lisle, Tasker and Sillars) committed to deliver a clear agenda for change and resolved to work with the wider education service on preparing an action plan to address the Review's recommendations. The Board agreed to report back on progress against this action plan before the end of this political term.'
