Headed by the Director of Finance and Resources, this section includes:

The Director of Education also line manages the Headteachers of States-maintained schools and the Principal of the College of Further Education.

Headed by the Director of EIS, this section includes:

  • Communication and Autism Support Service
  • Educational Psychology Service
  • Education Welfare Service
  • English as an Additional Language Service
  • Literacy Support Service
  • Sensory Support Services (Hearing and Visual)
  • Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties Service (SEBD)
  • Sexual Health and Relationship Educators (SHARE)
  • Schools' Music Service
  • Schools' Library Service (outsourced)
  • Dyslexia Day Centre (outsourced)

Communications
Headed by the Director of Communications.

Senior Management Team
The Department's Senior Management Team consists of the Chief Officer, Director of Finance and Resources, Director of Education, Director of Support Services, Director of Communications, Head of BEST, Head of Human Resources, Head of Resources, Head of Standards and Learning Effectiveness and Head of Strategy.

Administration support is provided by the Board and Directors' Secretariat.
