The 11+ Process and Admission to Secondary Education
In May 2012 the Education Department carried out a public consultation exercise on streamlining the existing 11+ process. Copies of the Consultation Paper and results can be downloaded by clicking on the links at the bottom of this page.
In line with the results of this consultation, the 11+ process has changed.
Year 6 pupils going through the 11+ selection process this academic year (2012/13) will sit two papers rather than the seven tests sat previously.
The new papers will include a mix of Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal reasoning questions and be in a multiple choice format.
The two tests will be sat one week apart with the first test being on Tuesday, 29th January 2013 and the second on Tuesday 5th February.
A full guide for Parents and Carers has been produced and sent to all Year 6 parents. The Guide is also available to download below.
