Your guide to Higher Education funding
Les Ozouets Campus project
The former St Peter Port School is being refurbished as a base for some College of Further Education courses, the Music Service, Youth Service and Youth Theatre. The buildings will also provide additional facilities for some education support services.
The refurbishment works began in June 2011 and are due to be completed by August 2012 allowing the Department to return the Brock Road site to the States to be redeveloped as much-needed social housing.
The site will be known as Les Ozouets Campus and will house the College of Further Education's Hair and Beauty courses, Adult Education Centre, Secretarial and Administration courses, Business Studies and Professional Studies and be home to the Youth Service, Youth Theatre, Music Service and the Department's Sexual Health & Relationship Educators (SHARE).
The works have been planned to allow the buildings to be used on a medium-term basis for around ten years before new campus buildings will need to be constructed. These new buildings will link with the existing Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts to provide a single campus for the College.
